The helicopter crashed into the ocean off the coast of Norway

A helicopter carrying six people crashed into the ocean off Norway’s west coast this Wednesday, but all people were rescued, the country’s Joint Rescue Coordination Center said.

The helicopter belonged to Bristow Norway VTOL.N , the company’s national director Heidi Wulff Heimark told the newspaper. Stavanger Aftenbladin accordance with Reuters.

Bristow Norway transports crew to and from oil and gas platforms in the North Sea.

The affected helicopter was a Sikorsky S-92 model and was performing search and rescue training missions at the time of the accident.

At the time of the incident, strong winds were blowing in the area, a rescue service representative told TV2.
