The girls’ mother alerted authorities that her ex-partner and her daughters had ingested a toxic substance.
When emergency services arrived at the scene, they found three bodies and could do nothing to save the victims. The death became known on the spot.
According to local police, the man had a history of domestic violence and had a restraining order against his ex-girlfriend. The Civil Guard was frequently called in response to suspected episodes of aggression.
The bodies were found on the farm where the father went to live when they separated.
