The video shows officers approaching Dexter Reed’s car and asking him to keep the windows open and open the car door. Officers can be heard shouting “shots fired” followed by about 100 shots fired into Reed’s car and after he left the car and found himself lying on the ground.
The images also show the injured police officer, who was shot in the wrist, being helped by a colleague.
Reed was pronounced dead at the hospital, and authorities found a firearm in the front passenger seat.
