In early April, a young man bought a small shark in a restaurant in Pattaya (Thailand) so that it would not be eaten, and returned it to the sea.
Victor Salmon, 23, said he was “outraged.” Independentwhen he found out that the restaurant sold shark fin soup and realized the conditions in which the animals were kept.
The young man said that he paid only 15 pounds for the animal, which is equivalent to about 17 euros. The images posted by Victor show that before throwing him into the ocean, he took him home to swim with the young man in the pool.
“I hope that one day when I’m diving, a shark will come and say hello and I’ll be able to see it in its habitat naturally,” the diver said during his speech in the published video.
