EU condemnation
For its part, the European Union (EU) has “strongly” condemned this Saturday the decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin on the “illegal seizure” of the Ukrainian nuclear power plant in Zaporizhia, the largest in Europe, and the creation of a government company in this regard. “The EU does not recognize and strongly condemns the illegal annexation by Russia of the Ukrainian regions of Donetsk, Lugansk, Zaporizhia and Kherson. Consequently, the decree on the seizure of the Zaporizhia power plant is illegal and legally null,” the EU’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell, said in a statement.
On the other hand, Russia has accused Ukraine of the attacks against the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant that have caused the disconnection of the last power line that provided the plant’s energy needs, while at the same time assuring that it is working to restore supply.

“Today was a good and mostly sunny day on the territory of our state. It was about 20 degrees and it was sunny in much of the country. Unfortunately, it was cloudy in Crimea. Although it is also hot. But no matter what the clouds are, Ukrainians know what to do. And they know our future is sunny,” he said in his daily speech.
