ABOUT CM discovered that since the beginning of the day there has been a meeting between Minister Margarida Blasco and Superintendent Luis Carrillo. The purpose of the meeting is to issue a ministerial order that will formalize the appointment of Luis Carrillo to the top position in the PSP and at the same time dismiss his predecessor José Barros Correia from his position. The inauguration of a new national director of the PSP is usually preceded by an independent order for the dismissal of his predecessor. This time the document will be unique.
The meeting will also facilitate the exceptional hiring of Luis Carrillo for the position of Chief Superintendent, a requirement for the role of National Director.
A police source finally said CM that, as our newspaper has already reported, Jose Barros Correia and five members of the outgoing management, all chief superintendents, will retire.
