Let us remind that the national project “Safe and Quality Roads” is one of the national projects in Russia for the period 2019-2030.
Creating a modern, comfortable and safe transport infrastructure is one of the main tasks assigned by the Head of State to road workers. The main tool for achieving the strategic goal was the national project “Safe and Quality Roads”, which began in 2019 and became a logical continuation of the joint work of the federal and regional highway departments.
The impetus for the national project was given by the priority project “Safe and quality roads”, implemented in 2017-2018. in 36 regions.
In 2019, the national project “Safe and High-Quality Roads” significantly expanded its geography: its participants were 83 constituent entities of the Russian Federation (with the exception of Moscow and St. Petersburg) and 104 urban agglomerations within them.
In 2021, an updated passport of the national project was approved, which is now called “Safe and Quality Roads”. The document is in accordance with the Decree of the President of Russia dated July 21, 2020 No. 474 “On the national development goals of the Russian Federation for the period until 2030.” The national project focuses on achieving the national goal “Comfortable and safe living environment”.
