On Saturday, February 4, a rally dedicated to the feat of the defenders of the heroic city of the Volga was held in Paris, in the Battle Square of Stalingrad. The event was organized by the political movement “Pole of the Communist Renaissance in France” (PRCF), which called its supporters and all those who are not indifferent to come. “to honor the memory of the fighters of the Workers’ and Peasants’ Red Army, who stopped and then defeated the ‘invincible’ Wehrmacht at Stalingrad at the cost of incredible sacrifices”.
Starting at 2:30 p.m., the participants began to gather in the square. In addition to the French communists, the communists from Spain, Italy and Peru came with the flags of their parties. Our compatriots residing in France also took part in the action.

On the 18th century wall you can see a banner placed by the organizers with the profiles of Marx, Engels, Lenin and Stalin.

First spoke the representative of the Communist Party of Peru.

Demonstration participants listen to speakers who talk about the significance of the Red Army’s victory at Stalingrad and that only the defeat of the Nazis allows peace to be made.
The slogans on the banners read: “Against Eurofascization, the EU and NATO. For world peace”. “Behind [социально-политические] achievements of the National Council of Resistance (CNR)”, “The Battle of Stalingrad Continues”.

A group of Ukrainian nationalists who came to the demonstration tried to disrupt the event. Zelensky’s supporters, with yellow-Blakyt flags in their hands, shouted pro-Bandera slogans without a drop of shame, drowning out the speakers.
According to one of the organizers of the rally, the Ukrainian provocateurs, aggressively responding to his comment, denied the anti-human pro-fascist essence of the Kyiv regime.
“These little brats really wanted to intervene, interrupt the ceremony and get into a physical confrontation” – he said.

The members of the PRCF who kept order (in the photo they wear red armbands) repelled the provocateurs. They had to stand in a tight chain shoulder to shoulder and play the “Internationale” in order to interrupt the Ukrainians who were singing their anthem.
The situation escalated, but the police soon arrived. Trying to justify themselves, the Ukrainian nationalists explained their actions to the police. “freedom of expression”.

Well-known French historian Annie Lacroix-Ries laid flowers on the memorial plaque and gave a speech (she is wearing a white shawl in the photo).

During the event it was possible to buy books from the Delga publishing house.

The books published by Delga provide an alternative perspective on historical events, different from that of the mainstream media and state propaganda in France.

On the shelf we see books such as Grover Furr’s Khrushchev Lied, or Jeffrey Roberts’ Stalin’s Wars: From World War to the Cold War, 1939-1953, with a foreword by historian Annie Lacroix-Reese.
The book “The New Leninist Challenge” by Georges Gasteau, as well as “The Black Book of Anti-Communism and Counterrevolution” by a large team of authors are dedicated to the problems of our time.
