A 39-year-old Swedish woman was attacked by a man who tried to rape her at knifepoint in a public park in Sao Pedro do Estoril, Cascais municipality. The victim’s screams forced the man to run away. The case is being investigated by the Judicial Police (PJ). This was reported by an official source in the Lisbon PSP command. CM that the attack took place at 10:40 on Thursday on Rua do Parque de Petanca in São Pedro do Estoril. The victim was walking alone when a sexual predator attacked her from behind. The suspect not only held her down, assaulted her and held a knife to her body, but also touched the victim’s genitals. In horror, the woman screamed as loud as she could. Several passers-by noticed this and ran to his aid. The man fled after stealing the victim’s mobile phone. The device will be detected in a few minutes and abandoned thanks to the geolocation system. The Swedish citizen was taken by firefighters to the Cascais hospital. He had bruises on his torso and arm.
