Israeli bombings kill 81 people and wound 223 in Gaza in the last 24 hours

The Israeli bombings in the Gaza Strip have left others 81 dead and 223 injured in the last 24 hours, according to data published this Sunday by the Gazan Ministry of Health, controlled by Hamas.

Thus, on the 233rd day of the war, the total death toll now reaches 35 984, of which 71% are children and women; and the number of injured has risen to 80,643 since last October 7. Gazan authorities insist that these data do not include 10,000 missing who are still under the rubble.

The Palestinian news agency Wafa reports this Sunday that Israeli airstrikes and artillery continue to hit different areas in the north of the enclave, including one residential house from the city of Beit Lahia.

“An Israeli warplane has attacked a residential apartment in the Nusseirat refugee camp in the center of the Gaza Strip and another airstrike has targeted homes in the center of the camp,” adds Wafa.

The Israeli Army assures today in a statement that in the last day “they have destroyed more than 50 terrorist targets” including “weapons storage facilities, missile launchers, observation posts and cells” of combatants.

Hamas launches 8 rockets into central Israel, including Tel Aviv

The Israeli Army confirmed this Sunday the launch of eight rockets from Rafah, in the southern tip of the Gaza Strip, towards central Israel, including Tel Aviv, in an attack that has been claimed by the Islamist group. Hamas and that constitutes the first against the area in about four months.

“Following the sirens, eight projectiles were identified crossing from the Rafah area into Israeli territory and several of them have been intercepted,” a military statement details.

The attack has hardly caused any damage, most of it related to the fall of shrapnel on towns.
