Salmonellosis was detected in 15 residents of the Kaliningrad region who ate products from the Musli39 healthy nutrition distribution company in the Kaliningrad region, the press service of the regional Ministry of Health reported on the VKontakte social network on May 31.
In the last 24 hours, 15 people went to the doctor with symptoms of acute intestinal infection. Doctors diagnosed the patients with salmonellosis. Everyone ordered products on the company’s Internet portal “Supply of healthy nutrition in the Kaliningrad region Musli39”.
According to the press service of the Rospotrebnadzor Office for the Kaliningrad Region, the activities of this company are carried out by individual entrepreneur Artem Vadimovich Podkorytov. He did not notify the department about the start of his activities, thus violating the law.
During the epidemiological investigation, serious violations of sanitary legislation were revealed during the storage and preparation of products. Violations of technological processes, sanitary maintenance of the catering unit and dishwashing were revealed. People who had not undergone a medical examination and did not have medical records were involved in the preparation of the products and their delivery.
Experts took samples of food products, water and swabs to identify the probable causative agent of the infectious disease in the external environment. 62.5 kg of impersonal, expired and unlabeled products were seized.
