Russia announces the arrest of eight people for the attack on the Crimean bridge

Russia has reported an oil leak from the Polish section of the Druzhba pipeline near the German border, Warsaw has notified Russian authorities.

The Russian Federal Security Service today announced the arrest of eight people allegedly involved in the bomb attack that last Saturday damaged the Crimean bridge.

“At the moment in the framework of the investigation, five citizens of Russia and three of Ukraine and Armenia who participated in the preparation of the crime have been detained,” the FSB said in a statement.

On the other hand, Russia has informed this Wednesday of a oil leak in the Polish section of the Druzhba pipeline near the German border, Warsaw has notified Russian authorities.

The Druzhba pipeline departs from the Russian city of Samara and reaches the Belarusian city of Mozyr, from where two branches leave: one passes through Poland, Germany, Latvia and Lithuania, and another reaches Ukraine, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Croatia .

Depressurization occurred the night of October 11 at 70 kilometers from the city of Plockin central Poland.

The oil enters Germany through this section and the causes of the incident are still unknown.
