The Prime Minister confirmed this Wednesday that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will be attending Thursday’s European Council meeting in Brussels to discuss support for Ukraine and its accession to the European Union.
“There are two fundamental moments at tomorrow’s European Council. First, a meeting with President Zelensky, who will take part tomorrow. [quinta-feira] personally in the European Council, which will allow us to discuss together not only the process of supporting Ukraine in the face of Russian aggression, but also the European prospects for Ukraine,” António Costa said.
The head of the executive branch addressed the Assembly of the Republic as part of the preparatory debate for the European Council meeting to be held this Thursday and Friday in Brussels.
