Hamas reports no progress in negotiations with Israel

Leader Osama Hamdam has explained that Hamas is willing to “work positively” with any ceasefire proposal that includes an end to the war. He has accused Israel of “preventing the entry of aid” and of provoking together with the United States. United, “a state of great famine.”

The leader of the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas Osama Hamdan reported this Saturday from Beirut that there has been no progress in the negotiation of a ceasefire agreement with Israel and has accused the United States of being “responsible” for the hunger that devastates the population of the Gaza Strip.

Hamdan has assured that Hamas is ready to “work positively” with any ceasefire proposal that includes an end to the war, he explained at a press conference in Beirut, but stressed that the population of Gaza has significant needs that would only be met by the entry of 500 trucks a day with humanitarian aid into the enclave.

In this regard, he accused Israel of “preventing the entry of aid” and of provoking “a state of great famine” in the Gaza Strip, which it uses as a weapon of war. Hamdan considers that the United States is also “responsible” because it “continues to insist on its shameless position” of blaming Hamas for the lack of progress, according to the Lebanese press.

Thus, he has described the construction of a temporary US dock on the coast of the Gaza Strip as “bad propaganda” and has stressed that this infrastructure, in addition to not having facilitated the delivery of aid, has meant that aid has even decreased since your installation.

The situation in Gaza is already “tragic” and he has warned that there will be deaths imminently due to lack of food. 70% of the population is at risk of hunger, according to UN data, he recalled.

He also denounced the “systematic destruction” of roads, sewage systems and drinking water by the Israeli military occupation forces. The situation is reminiscent of “Nazi detention and extermination camps, or even worse.”

Hamdan has urged the international community to assume its responsibility and stop the genocide by opening the crossings and withdrawing Israeli forces from key points, such as the Rafah crossing that connects the enclave with Egypt.
