The 46-year-old woman was robbed by a thief armed with a knife in the Grândola service area on the north-south motorway Estrada do Sul. The crime occurred at 5.15pm on Saturday.
The thief threatened the victim when he was alone and away from other people. He pointed a blade at his own body and demanded his personal property.
In horror, the woman handed the robber a bag containing several items, money, the victim’s mobile phone and documents. After completing the robbery, the thief left the service area at high speed in a white car.
The robbed woman alerted the culprits, who called the PNR. The military from the Grandola post took responsibility for the incident and reviewed video surveillance of the service area.
