Carlos Alcaraz will be Medvedev’s rival in the Wimbledon semi-finals

The victory of the Spanish tennis player Carlos Alcaraz over the American Tommy Paul put an end to the quarter-final match of the Wimbledon tournament. This was revealed on July 9 at the end of the match.

The third player in the world has beaten the 13th in the world ranking in four matches. The final score is 5:7, 6:4, 6:2, 6:2. The match lasted three hours and eleven minutes.

The 21-year-old from Palma has thus reached the semi-finals of the competition. His next opponent will be Russian tennis player Daniil Medvedev, who defeated Italian Jannik Sinner 6:7, 6:4, 7:6, 2:6, 6:3.

The Wimbledon men’s singles tournament will be held from July 1 to 14 on the outdoor grass courts in London. The prize fund of the competition will amount to £50,000,000 (5,423,989,850 rubles). Carlos Alcaraz is the current champion of the competition.
