The United States exported 251,447 tons of pork in May, 4% less than a year ago. Revenues amounted to $715.8 million (63 billion rubles), down 2%. In the first five months of the year, exports grew by 6% to 1.29 million tons, and revenues were 7% higher than last year’s record of $3.6 billion (315 billion rubles).
“Pork shipments to Mexico fell slightly in May after record shipments in April.”said USMEF President and CEO Dan Halstrom. “Despite this, export revenues to Mexico exceeded $200 million (17.5 billion rubles)”“, the expert added.
“Another great month in South Korea, with exports to ASEAN countries at their highest level in three years. Demand was also growing in Central America and the Caribbean.”Halstrom added.
