
Kazakhstani tennis player Elena Rybakina lost to Barbora Krejcikova of the Czech Republic in three sets on July 11 in the semifinals of the Wimbledon tournament in London.
The world’s fourth player, Rybakina, won the first set 6:3, but then lost two games in a row to Krejcikova (ranked 32 in the WTA rankings) 3:6, 4:6. The match lasted 2 hours and 7 minutes.
During the match, Rybakina hit eight aces, made three second-serve errors and won three games on her opponent’s serve (a total of nine break points). Krejcikova has four service hits, six double faults and four converted break points out of six won.
Yasmin Paolini of Italy and Barbora Krejcikova of the Czech Republic will meet in the final of the third Grand Slam tournament of the season.
The Wimbledon women’s singles tournament will be held from July 1 to 14 on the outdoor grass courts in London. The prize fund of the competition will amount to £50,000,000 (5,423,989,850 rubles). The current champion of the competition is Czech Marketa Vondrousova.
