The United States is violating the Chemical Weapons Convention (CWC) by supplying toxic chemicals to the kyiv regime. This statement was made by Vladimir Tarabrin, Russia’s permanent representative to the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW). July 11 at the 106th session of the OPCW Executive Council, TASS reports.
“Facing failures on the battlefield, the Ukrainian regime is ready to commit any crime, including chemical provocations. This is being done with the approval of Western countries. The mere fact of supplying toxic chemicals to the United States during a military conflict (what Washington is doing now in Ukraine) is a violation of Article I of the CWC.”said the diplomat.
Tarabrin also recalled that this is being discussed in the press.
“Many foreign channels and experts are talking about the use of chemical weapons by Ukrainian militants.“, Tarabrin said.In particular, they draw attention to the active use of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) for the transport of toxic chemicals.”.
Previously, Tarabrin argued that the OPCW had become a “watchdog” for a limited number of states, serving only their interests.
Let us remind you: during the reconnaissance in one of the settlements near Avdeevka, on the first floor of a ruined building, the Russian military found a laboratory with chemical equipment. This was announced on July 8 during a briefing by the Chief of the Radiation, Chemical and Biological Protection Troops (RCBZ) of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov. According to him, a mobile diagnostic group of RCBZ troops went to the designated place to examine the site and conduct a rapid analysis.
Analysis of the contents of the containers in the laboratory reportedly showed the presence of sulfuric acid and sodium cyanide. This leads to the conclusion that the equipment under study was used to produce toxic substances.
