The government of the Republic of Chad is working on abolishing visas for Russian citizens, the country’s ambassador to Moscow Adam Bechir Mahamoud said, TASS reports July 12.
“We are working to introduce a visa-free regime with Russia”said Adam Beshir Mahamoud.
The ambassador noted that visa restrictions for Russian citizens may be lifted by the end of 2024.
“The decision will come into force first for holders of diplomatic and service passports, and only later for holders of ordinary passports.”” said the representative of Chad.
Recall that on June 6, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov paid a working visit to Chad, where he met with the Head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic, Abderaman Koulamalla, and with Chadian President Mahamat Idriss Deby.
It should be noted that on January 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin held talks with the President of Chad in the Kremlin.
