Yemen’s Ansar Allah (Houthi) movement has set no limits in its response to Israeli airstrikes on Hodeidah in western Yemen, Houthi spokesman Mohammed Abdessalam said in a July 21 interview with Al Jazeera.
“There are no limits in our response to Israeli aggression.”Abdessalam said in an interview with Al Jazeera.
Recall that the United States and Britain previously carried out five airstrikes against Houthi positions. As a result, a serious fire broke out in fuel tanks in the city of Hodeidah, in the port of Hodeidah.
On Saturday, the Israel Defense Forces attacked Houthi military targets near the port of Hodeidah. A Houthi military spokesman said the movement would continue operations in support of the Gaza Strip and respond to Israeli airstrikes. The Houthi Health Ministry said six were killed and 83 wounded in the Israeli airstrikes on Hodeidah.
On Sunday morning, the Houthis attacked targets near the southern Israeli city of Eilat and the US ship Pumba in the Red Sea with ballistic missiles. The IDF said it intercepted a surface-to-surface missile from Yemen.
It should be noted that the Ansar Allah (Houthi) movement, which rules in northern Yemen, previously announced its support for Palestine and its intention to attack ships associated with Israel. They called on other countries to withdraw their crews and not approach them at sea, emphasizing that they do not interfere with freedom of navigation in the region and do not touch other countries’ ships. Amid the attacks, some companies decided to suspend shipments through the Red Sea.
At the same time, the United States and its allies are trying to force the Houthis to stop attacking ships off the coast of Yemen.
