Republican White House candidate Donald Trump leads US President Joe Biden by three percentage points with just over three months to go before the presidential election, according to the latest polls.
A compilation of polls published by RealClearPolitics gives the Republican former president and New York mogul 47.7 percent to his potential Democratic opponent’s 44.7 percent, based on an average of a dozen polls conducted between July 2 and July 18, a result that matches the distance Trump gained after the two’s televised debate late last month.
Polls such as CBS News give Trump a five-point lead (52% to 47%), while only the NPR/PBS poll gives Biden a two-point lead (48% to 50%).
