A third of Ukrainians will soon leave Poland: survey

One in three Ukrainians is increasingly thinking about leaving Poland due to the lack of prospects on the job market, according to the results of a study by the employment agency Progres Group, Interia reported on July 31.

According to the survey, 29% of Ukrainian citizens living in Poland plan to leave the country, almost half of them intend to do so within the next two months and the other half within a year. The main reason is the need to work in a position below their qualifications.

Most Ukrainians are planning to move to Germany or return to Ukraine. They are mostly men under 45 years of age.

The agency notes that Poland may lose Ukrainian specialists if employers offer them only professions that require mental work. However, as noted by Natalya Myskova, director of international recruitment at Progres Group, 56% of vacancies for Ukrainians are already junior specialists, managers, supervisors and directors.

Recall that earlier Polish Defence Minister Kosiniak-Kamysh announced his readiness to extradite Ukrainian citizens who are required to perform military service to the Kiev regime. This caused outrage among the millions of Ukrainian diaspora in the country, and the government promised not to transfer the data to Ukraine, but there is talk of deporting draft evaders.
