One of Portugal’s oldest women has died. Maria was 108 years old

Maria da Silva Oliveira, one of Portugal’s oldest women, died on Tuesday at the age of 108 in Cabanelas, Vila Verde municipality, a regional newspaper reported. Minho.

The funeral took place on Tuesday morning; the day before, Maria was buried in the local cemetery.

The elderly woman celebrated her 108th birthday on March 15, when Mia Teixeira, Maria’s granddaughter, revealed, as quoted by the Minho newspaper, the secret of her longevity: “the pragmatism with which she accepts the vicissitudes of life, and faith, unwavering faith.”
