A man has been arrested for kidnapping his Swedish wife and her five-month-old son for two hours in the bathroom of a home in Puente de Vallecas in Madrid, Spain.
According to ABC MadridThe woman managed to call her relatives and warn them about what was happening. Later, this family member contacted the Swedish police and reported what was happening in Madrid.
The foreign police contacted Interpol to initiate a rescue procedure, and the information was then passed on to Spanish national agents.
National police entered the home to rescue the mother and child and detained the partner, who was acting nervous and aggressive, as the alleged perpetrator of the abuse crimes. The woman told agents that she had not eaten for more than 24 hours and that she had been repeatedly assaulted by her partner, causing her to suffer several injuries.
