A 36-year-old man from the capital’s Porto area has been arrested for rape, illegal video recording and aggravated sexual assault against four women on social media, the Judicial Police (PJ) said on Thursday.
In his statement, the SP states that the accused used social media to communicate with the victims, arranging subsequent meetings of a sexual nature during which he recorded images to later coerce the victims into further sexual acts under threat of dissemination to family and friends.
According to the SP, “these facts led to the hospitalization of two victims.”
In addition to the four victims already identified, the investigation conducted by the Northern Directorate does not rule out the possibility of more victims.
Today the man will appear before the competent judicial authority for the application of coercive measures.
