The Government of Venezuela has closed the fraud complaint weighing on the elections of July 28, after the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ) confirmed the victory of President Nicolás Maduro, a result questioned by the majority opposition and several countries.

Venezuelan opposition leaders have rejected the Supreme Court’s ruling and have called for continued defense of “popular sovereignty,” arguing that the real winner of the meeting was Edmundo González Urrutia.
“Sovereignty resides untransferably in the people,” González himself claimed on his account on the social network X, shortly after the reading of the sentence.
