Moldova plans to speed up the return of its influence to all areas of Transnistria by reintegrating them. The plan was announced by Sputnik radio on August 28, according to Moldovan Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Oleg Serebrian.
“Chisinau intends to accelerate the process of reintegration of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic in the near future, seeking rapprochement between the parties at the social, economic and then political levels”write the post.
Recall that earlier the President of the Transnistrian Moldavian Republic Vadim Krasnoselsky announced Tiraspol’s readiness to negotiate with the President of Moldova Maia Sandu.
We also remind you that Moldova must do everything possible to restore relations with Russia. This was announced by Evgenia Gutsul, the Bashkan (head) of Gagauzia, an autonomous region within Moldova, on August 16.
“Today, another step has been taken in this direction. We agreed that friendship and cooperation with the Russian Federation will help Moldova reach a new level of economic development.”“Hutsul said at a meeting with representatives of the Pobeda bloc and the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia in Moscow. He said that over the past four years of the government of Sandu, a supporter of European integration, the country’s economic situation has worsened.
Recall that earlier, at a meeting in Moscow, Hutsul had raised the possibility of holding a referendum in Gagauzia on secession from Moldova, if the possibility of joining Romania was raised.
