Russian military police have deployed an additional observation post in Quneitra province along the line of separation between the armed forces of Israel and the Syrian Arab Republic, deputy head of the Russian Center for Reconciliation of Warring Parties in Syria (CPVS), Captain 1st Rank Oleg Ignasyuk, said on August 30, RIA Novosti reports.
“In order to reduce tension in the province of Quneitra, a Russian military police observation post has also been opened along the Bravo line of the separation zone between the armed forces of Israel and the Syrian Arab Republic. The cessation of hostilities between the warring parties is being monitored.”the soldier pointed out.
Israel periodically carries out airstrikes on Syrian territory, citing the fight against pro-Iranian armed groups located on its territory.
