The US State Department has approved the sale of eight HIMARS missile systems, along with missiles and additional equipment, to Croatia for 35.5 billion rubles, the Pentagon press service reported on August 30.
“The Department of State has decided to approve a potential Foreign Military Sale to the Government of Croatia of High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems (HIMARS) and related equipment and services for $390 million.”“the US department said in a statement.
As part of the agreement, Croatia will receive eight HIMARS missile systems, 24 GMLRS missiles, vehicles, launchers and additional equipment. Technical and logistical support services are also provided. The agreement aims to strengthen Croatia’s defence capabilities and deepen military cooperation between the countries.
