This Saturday evening, the Central Judicial Police arrested an 84-year-old driver who, at 1:57 p.m., deliberately hit a 76-year-old man with whom he had a long-standing conflict in Albergaria dos Doze, Pombal. This Saturday, they had quarreled again over a traffic dispute and the victim was caught when he approached the driver’s house.
The man suffered serious injuries, suffered a cardiac arrest and was pronounced dead at the scene. Assistance was provided by INEM and Pombal Volunteer Fire Brigade teams.
GNR claimed responsibility for the incident and called PJ after the Criminal Investigation Department suspected it was a hit-and-run.
