World number one Novak Djokovic will not play in Indian Wells and Miami because he is banned from entering the US because he is not vaccinated against Covid-19.
The information was spread by the BNP Paribas Open, popularly known as Indian Wells, and US Senator Rick Scott on social networks.
The Serb unsuccessfully petitioned the US authorities for a special exemption that would allow him to play in Indian Wells and Miami between March 19 and April 2.
The US state of emergency declaration due to the pandemic ends on May 11, allowing foreign travelers not vaccinated against Covid-19 to enter the country.
