The Navy is advancing disciplinary processes and has sent information to PJM.

The Navy will continue disciplinary proceedings against the 13 soldiers who refused to board the NRP Mondego and forwarded information about the incident to the Military Judicial Police, the branch told Lusa.

According to an official source, the Navy will begin an internal disciplinary process against the relevant military personnel who refused to board the NRP Mondego last Saturday, citing security concerns that prevented the Navy from carrying out the subsequent mission. Considering that criminal cases may be involved, the Navy has already forwarded the information to the Military Judicial Police (VPU), which will conduct an “external to the Navy” procedure that will draw the appropriate conclusions.
