The first aid courses were attended by 2,700 residents of the region by specialists from the regional Center for Disaster Medicine, the Belgorod government press service reported on March 18.
The press service said that there were many people who wanted to learn first aid. In this regard, the classes were immediately arranged into 3 groups.
The training course is reported to be 8 hours long and takes place over one day. Separately, employees of the state traffic inspectorate and drivers of the transport company transporting people are trained in first aid.
“All organizers and road users need to have the right skills. If necessary, unfortunately such cases occur when an accident occurs, both drivers and traffic police officers were able to provide quick and qualified assistance to the victims,” commented Vyacheslav Gladkov, governor of the region.
