Ukrainian troops have entered the southern city of Kherson this Friday, where the blue and yellow flag has returned to wave shortly after the Russian Army completed its withdrawal from the right bank of the Dnieper River.
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, has ensured that it is a “historic” day. “We are returning to Kherson. From now on our defenders will be on the outskirts of the city,” she said, according to the UNIAN state news agency.
“Whatever Russia does, Ukraine will win,” the Ukrainian foreign minister wrote on Twitter. Dmytro Kuleba. kyiv has thus abandoned the initial skepticism with which it received the news about the Russian withdrawal two days ago and has claimed victory in Kherson, the largest it has had in almost nine months of Russian military intervention.

Meanwhile, the Russian Ministry of Defense has given in its daily report details of the withdrawal from Kherson which, according to the official version, has concluded in less than 48 hours.

Russian bombing
Despite the entry of the Ukrainians into Kherson, Moscow rules out giving up the city and the northern part of the homonymous province, which was annexed by Russia in September. “It is a subject of the Russian Federation. This is coined and defined by law, there can be no change here,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitri Peskov said.
Thus, the Russian Ministry of Defense has announced the start of bombardments on the areas of Kherson recently vacated by the Army, on the western bank of the Dnieper River, in a series of attacks also confirmed by the Ukrainian security forces, who have denounced the least three possible deceased in these operations.
The Ukrainian Regional Police in Kherson has confirmed a shelling on the city of berislavabout 60 kilometers north of Jersón city, with heavy artillery, which would have left at least three dead.
