The President of Russia, Vladimir Putinhas ordered the demobilization of students from the so-called Donetsk and Lugansk people’s republics called up before their annexation by Moscow, the Kremlin reported today.
“Putin has ordered the demobilization of the students and the organization of their return to study centers,” explained the spokesman for the Russian Presidency, Dmitri Peskov, quoted by the Interfax agency.
The same source added that the militias of Donetsk and Lugansk were integrated into the Russian Armed Forces after the incorporation of these entities into the Russian Federation last September 30.
The pro-Russian authorities of the so-called people’s republics ordered a general mobilization on February 19 this year, five days before Russia launched its “special military operation” in Ukraine.
