Plane with 173 passengers caught fire after takeoff in the US

American Airlines plane carrying 173 passengers and crew catches fire shortly after takeoff due to bird strike in US, UK TV promotes sky news.

The Boeing 737-800 flew from Columbus, USA, to Phoenix on Sunday morning before a crew member reported the failure around 8:00 am (13:00 GMT), the Federal Aviation Administration said in a statement.

“The flight landed normally,” American Airlines said in a statement. “The aircraft has been taken out of service for maintenance and our team is working to bring customers back to Phoenix,” he added.
