Several dead, most of them minors, in a shooting at a Belgrade school

The authorities of Serbian have reported this Wednesday that at least eight people have diedmost of them minors, in a shooting perpetrated by a student at a school in Belgrade, the capital.

Security forces have indicated that the main suspect in the shooting is a student of about 14 years and they have warned of the discovery of a backpack with a weapon and bottles with flammable liquid inside.

The alleged perpetrator has been arrested and, according to his classmates, he had attended a birthday party the day before, where he had behaved with apparent normality. “He got very good grades in everything, so we called him a nerd,” said one student.
