The public ministry charged eight people with the death of Igor Silva almost a year ago during the celebration of the championship. Marco “Ears”, his son Renato and his son-in-law Paulo Cardoso are among the defendants charged with qualified murder.
The prosecution says that there were already old conflicts between the defendants and Igor. In the championship match at the Estadio da Luz stadium, a fight broke out between the Ears and Igor Silva. Early in the morning on May 8, 2022, everything happened right next to the Estádio do Dragão. Renato stabbed Igor twice in the back, who was captured by “Ushi” and his brother-in-law. Igor was already lying on the ground when the defendants inflicted several punches and kicks on him. At that moment, Renato stabbed Igor in the chest and stomach.
Other petty crimes are at stake. The daughter of Marco Orelas is accused of an episode of aggression.
“Ushi”, brother-in-law and son are in custody.
