Did you receive this letter from the tax authorities? Beware, this is a scam

The Office of Influx and Customs (AT) warned in a statement on its “website” of a fraudulent message sent by “e-mail” with a link to an income tax return that “asks you to click on a ‘link'”.

AT stated that “it is aware that some taxpayers are receiving emails purported to be from AT stating a possible income tax return asking them to click on a ‘link'”.

In the example message issued by the AT, targets are presumably informed of a “discrepancy” in model 3 (IRS) and then a “reference” is provided.

“These reports are false and should be ignored. Their goal is to convince the recipient to access malicious pages by clicking on the suggested “links,” AT said, emphasizing that the target persons “under no circumstances” should “perform this operation.”
