A drunken soldier ran over an elderly man on the sidewalk in Cova da Piedade.

According to eyewitnesses, the man, who will be a soldier, immediately confessed to drunkenness and underwent a breath test on the spot. He repeated the test at the Pragal police station, on a more accurate device, but again he did not accept the result and demanded a countertest through blood tests, already at the Garcia de Orta hospital.

In accordance with cm found, the man was detained, but after a few hours he was released and notified of his appearance in court.

The accident happened around 9:00 pm on Saturday when a runaway car caught an elderly man on the sidewalk. The victim flew off into the window and could not stand the injuries from impact and cuts on the glass, despite help on the spot and hospitalization.
