This Thursday is the third day of searches at the Arade dam in Silves in the case of Maddie McCann, a girl who went missing in 2007.
The authorities are cutting down trees to dig up the earth. They try to find bumps in the ground to see if they can find remains or something related to Maddie.
So far, there is no indication that the traces collected are related to an English girl. This Friday it is known whether what has already been found will be cataloged and analyzed.
British authorities took part in the searches carried out by the judicial police at the request of the German authorities. Civil protection, firefighters and GNR also help with this.
On the first day of work, the police were looking for fibers from Maddie’s pajamas. State-of-the-art technology and search dogs were also used to locate human remains in the area.
The Arade Dam is located 50 kilometers from Praia da Luz, where Maddie disappeared 16 years ago. This became of interest to the authorities after it emerged that the main suspect, Christian Bruckner, had been there relatively often.
German investigators believe that the girl may have been killed at the dam and thrown into the water. Therefore, the authorities are trying to find Bruckner’s goods at the dams in Silves.
Maddie McCann, remember, disappeared 16 years ago in Praia da Luz, in the Algarve, while on holiday with her family. He was only three years old. After years of investigations and trails, the case remains unsolved.
