This Thursday, the Judicial Court of Beja ordered the preventive detention of a 38-year-old woman detained by the GNR on suspicion of drug trafficking in that municipality of Alentejo and identified the source of these security forces.

A National Republican Guard (GNR) source told the Lusa news agency that the woman was present this Thursday at the first judicial examination in the Beja court, which ruled on the most serious measure of coercion.

According to a source in the guard, the woman was sent to the Odemira prison in the Beja region, where she will wait until the process unfolds.

A statement from the GNR Territorial Command of Beja this Thursday indicated that a 38-year-old woman was arrested on Wednesday by military personnel from the Criminal Investigation Core (NIC) Beja on suspicion of drug trafficking in the municipality of Beja. .

“As part of an investigation into a drug trafficking case that lasted more than five months, the military of the Guard established that the woman was traveling in a railway transport between the stations of Cuba and Beja,” the NNR said in a statement.

According to the statement, “during the trial, the military from the Criminal Investigation Core at the railway station in the municipality of Beja” approached the woman, noting that she was in possession of a “drug”.

After the action, a search was carried out in the house, as a result of which 153 doses of cocaine, 100 euros in cash, 84 doses of hashish, 81 doses of heroin, five knives, a mobile phone, precision scales and various objects and objects were seized. documents related to drug trafficking.
