The Health Regulatory Authority (ERS) has issued a decree to immediately suspend the activities of an institution in Braga providing medical care in the field of aesthetics by an unqualified specialist, it was announced on Monday.
The ERS statement added that the situation represents an “imminent danger to the health and safety of users.”
ERS explains that this facility has undergone procedures that require drugs and/or medical devices to be used solely for physician use.
We are talking, in particular, about invasive procedures for the injection / introduction of drugs into the skin, namely the use of tension threads, sclerotherapy, Botox, hyaluronic acid, multivitamins and other solutions.
Another procedure is the removal of nevi / moles by cauterization with a plasma jet.
“Given the established facts and the immediate danger to the health and safety of users, the EHS has taken precautionary measures to immediately terminate the activities carried out in one of the supervised institutions, on the basis of unqualified medical care in the field of aesthetics,” the statement said.
The precautionary measure will be declared canceled “when the hazard to the health and safety of users has been proven to have been eliminated.”
Otherwise, the measure may lead to the final cessation of medical activities.
The findings were also brought to the attention of the State Department, the National Medicines and Health Products Administration, the Revenue and Customs Administration (AT), the Food and Economic Security Administration (ASAE), and the Central Health System Administration.
