Brazilian host and model Ligia Fazio passed away this Wednesday at the age of 40. The journalist suffered a stroke and was in the hospital for about a month, G1 reports.
The death was announced by Lygia’s brother through social networks. “Unfortunately, our warrior passed away. Thanks again for all the support,” he wrote.
Some close friends of the model said that health problems began when she smeared her buttocks with industrial silicone.
Journalist Meiri Borges revealed that Ligia Fazio was addicted to plastic surgery and that at some point she underwent secret procedures.
“She always wanted to look more beautiful, feel better in her body, and for this she turned to people who were not professionals for help. For a while, I think the medical workers did use substances that were legal, but after a while, she wanted more and the doctors didn’t want to. Since then, she has been looking for clandestine procedures. It was the time bomb of her life,” said Meiri Borges, quoted by G1.
According to a friend of Lygia, the model struggled with silicone-related problems for three years. In 2022, she was hospitalized for a hundred days due to an infection.
The host’s funeral took place this Thursday in Taboão da Serra, Sao Paulo state.
