The Judicial Police (JP) arrested three men and three women, aged 20 to 44, for the theft of a car using theft and possession of a prohibited weapon. The facts took place in October 2021 in Anadia, in Aveiro.
According to a PJ press release, the victims were traveling in a high-end Jaguar they had recently acquired through a trade-in. Six people approached the victims on a public road, pulled them out of the car, beat them severely, stole the car, and then sold it.
The detainees were presented to the judicial authorities in Aveiro and subjected to the first judicial examination. Coercive measures were applied to prevent them from leaving and visiting the municipalities of Anadia and Agueda, as well as to prohibit contact with the victims. Three of the detainees already have previous convictions for theft and fraud.
