The bankruptcy trustee, detained by the Porto court in cases of corruption, money laundering, tax fraud and economic participation in business, was released with a guarantee of 50 thousand euros. Two other arrested businessmen also left with €20,000 guarantees.
In addition to bail, the insolvency representative is suspended on the condition that he presents himself to the authorities every two weeks and is prohibited from contacting other defendants. The woman, also arrested, is only barred from contact, with the exception of her husband.
Two other businessmen, to whom this measure of coercion was also applied and who were left on bail, are also required to make appearances once every two weeks.
If they do not comply with these imposed coercive measures, they face a more serious measure, namely preventive detention.
The four detainees were heard at the first interrogation this afternoon at the Porto Criminal Court.
