NASA and SpaceX delay the launch of the International Space Station

The North American Space Agency (NASA) and carrier SpaceX have delayed by 24 hours the launch of a new resupply mission to the International Space Station, which was scheduled for Saturday.

NASA said in a statement that the delay was due to bad weather and that the launch was pushed back to this Sunday at 12:12 pm local time (5:12 pm in Lisbon) at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida.

This will be the 28th resupply mission to the International Space Station (ISS) to deliver technical equipment, scientific materials and food for the crew in orbit.

The SpaceX spacecraft will also send material to equip the ISS with solar panels, boosting the space station’s power by 30%.
