A 47-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday for domestic violence crimes against his former partner in the municipality of Porto. The National Republican Guard (GNR) executed the arrest warrant after finding the man had intimidated, controlled and threatened the victim with death.
According to the GNR statement, following the police action, “firearms, six rounds of ammunition, two edged weapons, 550 doses of hashish, 34 doses of cocaine and 3,200 euros in cash” were seized.
The suspect was present at the first judicial interrogation this Wednesday at the Instructional Court of Porto. Coercive measures were applied to him “removing and prohibiting contact with the victim by any means, the inability to approach him within a radius of 500 meters, control using an electronic bracelet, three-week presentations to the police station in the area of his residence.”
