The couple were attacked by six men during a robbery this Sunday morning at a villa in Aveiro. The 45-year-old woman, when she was taken by surprise by the robbers, collided with the attackers. She was brutally attacked with a sledgehammer on one of her legs. The attackers managed to escape with a small amount of money.
A warning was filed by the victims around 3:00 am at the PSP in Aveiro for an attack on an apartment building on Rua Quinta do Torto. Aveiro Novos firefighters helped the woman at the scene and took her to a hospital in Aveiro.
The investigation into the robbery was transferred to the Aveiro Judicial Police. The police are currently locating the suspects.
The house opposite the robbed house was also robbed. The thieves entered the house through a side wall and entered a small warehouse at the back of the house. The robbers took several machines, a brush cutter and tools.
